        • Position Summary:

          Perform cost analysis and reporting to support desired functional area and senior management.

          Responsibilities: Essential Duties
          • Perform month-end close responsibilities to include completing and entering journal entries in SAP and completing month-end reporting to include cost center comparison schedules, key performance indicator reports, purchase price, process order, headcount and other monthly financial reporting schedules.
          • Complete account reconciliations for specific general ledger accounts.
          • Analyze monthly cost center, purchase price and process order variances and explain variances to functional area and management.
          • Review new request for capital investments and complete ROI (return on investment) calculations.
          • Track capital spending and work with project managers to develop a capital forecast .
          • Complete yearly expense plan for assigned area, enter plan information into SAP and provide explanations for year over year increases and decreases.
          • Complete capacity planning sheets for various product lines to determine the machine output and personnel requirements of each machine to be used for completing the yearly plan and standard cost roll.
          • Work with the functional areas to complete a monthly forecast.
          • Propose changes to recipes, routings, and scrap rates, calculate the impact to the change, and explain quarterly increases and decreases to our standard cost.
          • Report inventory by product line and calculate inventory ROC's.
          • Develop plan allocations for purposes of allocating overhead costs to our standards and execute allocations monthly.
          • Calculate cost savings for project improvements and track monthly savings.
          • Develop financial models for new products and new equipment.
          • Calculate Units of Production Depreciation for new product line.
          • Develop queries to extract information from SAP.
          • Partner with manufacturing areas by attending meetings, providing financial support, and developing financial KPI’s.
          Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
          • Excellent SAP knowledge, Accounting Practices & Principles, Strong Cost Accounting and Budgeting in a Manufacturing environment, Activity-Based Costing.
          • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) competency required; advanced formulations, uploading, downloading, merge and comparison of file data. Familiarity with Lotus Notes.
          • Strong analytical and reasoning skills, excellent verbal and written communication, effective time management and organization, good judgment, initiative, persuasiveness, and thoroughness. Must meet deadlines

          Qualifications:

          Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

          Required:
          • 5-7 years experience for a Senior Cost Analyst
          • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
          • Strong Microsoft Office
          • SAP experience preferred.
          • Above average analytical skills.
